Hi folks!  A couple of members and I have been coordinating this, and it's finally a go!  We'll be birding in and around Charleston, South Carolina from Saturday, June 10th to Sunday, June 11th.  Try to get into Charleston around Friday night.  3 people can stay at my place if you don't want to mess with a hotel.  The itenerary has yet to be planned, but we will most likely be targeting:

  • Black Rail
  • Purple Gallinule
  • Swallow-tailed Kite
  • Red-cockaded Woodpecker
  • Bachman's Sparrow
  • "Wayne's" Black-throated Green Warbler
  • Wilson's Plover
  • Least Tern
  • Black Skimmer
  • Swainson's Warbler
  • Kentucky Warbler
  • Hooded Warbler
  • Prothonontary Warbler
If you have any other targets, let me know so I can get some feelers out!

I should also ask that anyone who plans to come email me in advance at so I can get a feel for numbers.  Rooms are first come first serve!  Scopes would be nice as well.

We have also added the day of the 9th for traveling and scouting, if you want to get there early.
